Oversee.net's DomainSponsor Unveils Monetization Service for Hosting Companies
Oversee’s DomainSponsor (SM), a leader in Internet traffic monetization, today announced a new product capability to serve hosting, registrar, registry, and Internet Service Provider companies, enabling them to capitalize on the entire domain name lifecycle. The Company has discovered new ways to produce any potentially lost revenue for hosting companies through domain monetization.

The new product capability relies on the same core monetization technology used for years to match users with relevant advertisers. The new product incorporates valuable additions such as a custom branding functionality to facilitate easy integration with high profile company brands. DomainSponsor monetizes the undeveloped properties of a business, creating unique landing pages for each property, which are then populated with targeted keywords, ads, and relevant content. When visitors land on the formerly dormant pages, companies earn revenue on the relevant searches performed.

“We’re proud to offer a simple solution to monetize hosting companies’ formerly lost traffic,” said Jeff Kupietzky, EVP of Oversee.net. “We’re able to create new, highly profitable revenue streams for these companies where they formerly experienced significant losses. With the same proprietary technology DomainSponsor uses to monetize the traffic of over two and a half million domain names, we can monetize the undeveloped properties of the hosting business and more. Many companies have developed an advanced understanding of the value inherent in domain names and their traffic, and DomainSponsor is there to help them achieve their financial goals.”

Oversee’s presence at HostingCon is a sign of the progress the domain industry has experienced over the past year. As the Company expands its domain services to serve the hosting community, Jothan Frakes will represent Oversee’s DomainSponsor in a HostingCon workshop, Turning Customer Abandonment and Loss Into a New Source of Revenue. The workshop is designed to communicate the value of a largely untapped revenue stream for hosting companies, registrars, registries, and ISPs. The panel will examine specifically how hosting companies can turn “under construction” and error pages into new revenue. The Company will also be found throughout the conference in HostingCon’s exhibit hall, booth #423.
