Director of Product Management

Oversee.net is seeking a strong Director of Product Management for the Domain Services division.  This position involves overseeing the product team from strategic definition to product launch, as well as maturing existing core product lines in the areas of consumer experience and internal business applications. 

Responsibilities:

• Direct, establish, maintain and plan overall policies and goals for the product team
• Define and create new products and improve existing features
• Clearly define company objectives and resource commitments
• Gather requirements, help define a product vision and strategy, write feature and functional requirements, and working with the technology team to execute it.
• Work with engineers to define products, understanding user needs, researching markets and competitors, and strategizing future product directions.
• Create analytic processes/capabilities/tools to optimize user conversion
• With strong analytic abilities and attentiveness to key metrics, analyze user information and data to optimize and monetize landing pages
• Analyze key market research/user segmentation data to ensure product roadmap is aligned with overall brand and company strategy.
• Synthesize key feedback inputs to develop product vision/strategy. Utilize brand/market research, consumer segmentation data, usability studies, competitive analysis, user feedback, and site analytics data to develop long term product roadmaps.
• Drive product concepts and feature requirements based on customer needs, and evaluate and prioritize these requirements to develop a product roadmap that differentiates from competitors.
• Manage a team of 10 product managers, project managers and/or project coordinators.
• Perform all functions of staff management and mentoring of department employees such as the hiring, training, career planning, performance reviews and other HR-related functions of product management staff,

Requirements:

• BA/BS degree. MBA preferred.
• Must have Engineering/Computer Science or Math background
• 8-10 years of product management - full product lifecycle including product definition to end-of-life planning and developing Internet applications
• 3-5 years of gathering and assembling product requirements from multiple sources (e.g. R&D, design, customer and business user feedback, stakeholders and competitive research).
• 3+ years of managing a team of product/project managers
• The successful candidate will have a proven track record in developing products together with a strong quantitative background
• Strong ability to write clear and concise specs.
• Good understanding of web technologies and user-experience.
• Strong ability to manage many concurrent projects.
• Excellent analytical skills
• Excellent written and oral communication skills.
• Strong track-record for managing quality, quantity, time and resources.
• Strong ability to work cross-functionally with other groups.
• Strong ability to lead, manage and direct the work of others.
• Highly organized and attention to detail.
